Allan Freedman

Allan Freedman graduated from the University of Western Ontario Law School in 1974 on the Dean’s List and as a recipient of the Dean Ivan Rand Honour Award. He founded a law partnership in 1977 and remained in that practice until 2002 at which time he started his own law firm.

While practicing law full time, predominantly in the areas of corporate, commercial, administrative and real estate law, Allan also maintained a teaching position at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in the area of risk and practice management and business law until 2008. He also had teaching positions at the Canadian Naturopathic College, and the Ontario Homeopathic College. Allan has an extensive curriculum vitae which includes lecturing across Canada on risk management and publication of a number of articles dealing with issues in a professional practice. He has guided individual health care practitioners with matters ranging from the establishment of a health care practice; regulatory compliance issues; business issues; and retirement from practice. Allan has provided legal assistance to organizations which have required incorporation on a provincial and federal basis with charitable status. He continues to act for charitable and not-for-profit organizations in assisting them in ensuring proper corporate governance.

Allan is married and has three sons. He is an avid motorcyclist, and for diversion has involved himself in martial arts, toastmaster, scuba diving, parachuting, the CN Edgewalk, and ballroom dancing.
