Dr. Pat Tavares graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) Toronto, Canada in 1995, and attained an orthopedic fellowship designation in 2004. She started and ran a private practice for 14 years in Toronto’s west end. She was the first chiropractic volunteer to work with Health Mission Outreach, a charitable organization that provides multidisciplinary one-day free clinics to communities in need in the greater Toronto area.

In 2010, she became a clinician at the CMCC where she supervises interns during their clinical rotation. As a clinician she participates in the CMCC Outreach Abroad Mission to the Dominican Republic where she supervises interns treating patients in need of spinal care. She is actively involved in research at CMCC and in the Dominican Republic. She also serves as a member of the board of the Canadian Chiropractic Orthopedists. Dr. Tavares is the Clinical Director for World Spine Care and the Coordinator of the Dominican Republic Project.
