Introducing Kait Graham – WSC Volunteer Program Manager

Kait Graham treating a patient at a World Spine Care clinic in Botswana

World Spine Care is pleased to announce that Kait Graham has taken on the role of Volunteer Program Manager in a part-time capacity. Kait joined World Spine Care in October 2019 and has already made some wonderful enhancements to the WSC Volunteer Program. Kait has the benefit of having been a volunteer for World Spine Care’s Botswana Program, so she understands the opportunities and challenges involved with volunteering.

“Volunteering with WSC has been incredibly rewarding and valuable for me both professionally and personally. As a Volunteer Associate clinician in Botswana I was faced with all of the excitement and challenges of a new graduate but in a brand-new environment. My observation, listening, and clinical skills were put to the test immediately, and therefore improved significantly over a short period of time,” says Kait.

In her role, Kait is responsible for ensuring the World Spine Care Clinics have the volunteers required to meet patient needs and is working to develop a strong pipeline of individuals who are interested in volunteering in a World Spine Care clinic.

My observation, listening, and clinical skills were put to the test immediately, and improved significantly over a short period of time.

As a previous volunteer, Kait is passionate about the volunteer experience and dedicated to supporting all World Spine Care volunteers throughout their journey. “I would recommend volunteering with WSC to any new grad. You will be exposed to patients and to their stories that will teach you much more than a textbook ever can. Your clinical skills will continue to improve, and you will leave with some of the most memorable experiences. Furthermore, the WSC community is like no other. I am so grateful to be surrounded by the best and brightest clinicians, researchers and leaders in spine care. The passion for what we do remains strong and the learning never stops!”

World Spine Care is pleased to have Kait’s passion, experience, and dedication to our mission, and we look forward to continuing to support our mission through our incredible volunteer network.
