Join World Spine Care Founder & President Scott Haldeman for a fireside chat led by his biographer, Dr. Reed Phillips. They will discuss Dr. Haldeman's career trajectory and what led him to found the nonprofit World Spine Care. We will end with a Q&A open to attendees.

Scott Haldeman DC, MD, PhD, FRCP(C), FCCS(C), FAAN is a graduate of the University of Pretoria, South Africa (B.Sc. M.Sc), the Palmer College of Chiropractic, USA (DC), and the University of British Columbia, Canada (Ph.D., M.D.) He completed his internship at the Vancouver General Hospital, residency in Neurology at the University of California Irvine and fellowship in electrodiagnosis at the Long Beach Veterans Hospital. He is Past President of the North American Spine Society, the American Back Society, and the North American Academy of Manipulative Therapy. He served on the Executive Council of the International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine. He was appointed International Ambassador for the Decade of the Bone and Joint. He is the founder and currently serves as President of World Spine Care and chairs the Global Spine Care Initiative to develop evidence-informed, practical, and sustainable, spine healthcare models for communities around the world.

Dr. Reed Phillips, DC, PhD received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago in 1973 and his Diplomate from the American Board of Chiropractic Radiology in 1976. He subsequently obtained an MSc in Community Medicine and a PhD in Sociology from the School of Medicine, University of Utah. Following ten years in private practice in Salt Lake City, he served as Director of Research at the Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research, then at Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, where he served as President from 1990 – 2008. Dr. Phillips has over 60 book chapters and articles in peer-reviewed publications. He has been a member of the WFC Research Council since it was formed in 1988.

In 2009, Dr. Phillips published The Journey of Scott Haldeman: Spine Care Specialist & Researcher, a biography highlighting the unique career path of Dr. Haldeman.
